February 20,2018 15:37

“We have many years of cooperation experience with Mr. Sargsyan. I am sure if he becomes the president, it will be very beneficial to our country, this is my conviction, inasmuch as he is a person who has the whole vision of the country’s future,” told the Minister of Science and Education, Levon Mkrtchyan, replying to “Azatutyun” radio station’s question on the presidential candidate of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan.

He also added that as the member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Supreme Body, he had participated in the meeting of the ARF with Armen Sargsyan, where the presidential candidate had spoken of also the field of education.

“We have come to a qualitative level when the form should be solved entirely through content. I think Mr. Sargsyan can be useful by his Cambridge experience, inasmuch as the field of education is in searches in the whole world. The majority of the specializations, which we now teach, have been calculated to vanish in the forthcoming 7 years. During the last London conference, the discussion was on the topic implying that we should get ready for a thing – not knowing what it is going to happen in the near future. This, naturally, presupposes a radical change in the educational field,” he continued.

The Minister said that the idea of creating a Science museum was Armen Sargsyan’s. He also informed about the upcoming planetarium in Yerevan by contemporary standards, for the implementation of which an investment of 1 billion and 740 million has been made.
