Shirak governor Artur Khachatryan called a press conference reporting about the work done throughout the previous year and the upcoming plans field by field, spoke of the issues as well. Addressing to the programs aimed at developing the economy and information technologies, the governor announced of a noteworthy fact, informing that in villages the employer having 250.000 drams and 0,5 liters of vodka cannot find an ordinary shepherd.
“We have had a lot of discussions with the representatives of companies of information technologies. A couple of weeks ago the Polish came, did they not? We had a very serious discussion with “Digital Pomegranate” director, he has a lot of plans, but he also has issues: he cannot find quality labor force. That is, from one side we speak of unemployment, but all speak of the lack of labor force, besides representatives of information technologies. Starting from a seller in the shop and a waiter in the café to receive 250.000 drams of salary, plus a daily keeping, plus 0,5 liters of vodka, people are not able to find an ordinary shepherd. A serious issue of discussion is in place here,” told the governor.
Aravot.am asked to give details on the reason why they are not able to find a shepherd by suggesting rather good working conditions. “I have talked to the people in search of jobs, there is a psychological issue present here, of course. They reply – why should I come and work for you? 3 people have told me about this – one from Ashotsk, two from Arpi. Similarly in our Artik, when “Green Food” greenhouse opened, employees had an issue of finding an ordinary worker who would dig a hole. If a lot of them start construction in villages, it will be difficult to them to find workers, inasmuch as a part of them has got used to the subsidy, they have become lazy, and the other part has emigrated for finding a job in other countries… The fact is, that finding labor force is very difficult,” informed the governor.
