“Of course it will propose, do you think it should have nominated another person?”, in response to journalists’ question whether ruling Republicans will nominate Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister, said former MP General Manvel Grigoryan. He noted that Serzh Sargsyan is irreplaceable for him too. “If anyone thinks he is more conscious and intelligent than him, he is mistaken”.
In response to the remark that many years ago, Serzh Sargsyan announced that he would not aspire to the post of Prime Minister, Manvel Grigoryan said: “At that time there was another policy, the Constitution was not changed”.
Journalists asked whether the Republicans have made a clear decision to propose Serzh Sargsyan’s candidacy for the Prime Minister’s post.
Manvel Grigoryan noted: “I want that for 100 percent. I trust him. We have passed a long way together from the very first day. He has always been dedicated to this country and has gone through everything: Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan… He has served in various ways for this country”.
