“There has already been a response relative to that announcement by the official Yerevan. Our issue is for suchlike announcements not to be a response by the international community,” said the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Karen Nazaryan, referring to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s announcement on “invading Yerevan and Zangezur”.
He did not comment on the estimate given by the OSCE, again mentioning that the Armenian side has commented on the issue.
Asked why the CSTO, to which the Republic of Armenia is a member, did not respond to Aliyev’s announcement, Karen Nazaryan gave an overall response: “We work towards the CSTO and other international institutions as well.”
