A row of states, particularly the Co-chairing countries of OSCE Minsk Group, have taken steps to put pressure on Azerbaijan.
The press secretary of the President of Artsakh, David Babayan, referring to the Azerbaijani aggression in April 2016 which is also known as April War, told “Artsakhpress” reporter, that from this perspective the expectations from the international community were higher, actually.
As stated by him, Azerbaijani aggression has been first and foremost prevented due to Artsakh Defense Army and Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trilateral unity, and the Co-chairing states of the OSCE Minsk Group have undertaken certain steps towards this not publicly as well.
“There are countries which are not able to restrain the aggression, and some – for example, Turkey, Pakistan, the contrary, were encouraging. Consequently, from the international perspective, there is a conflict of interests, dissimilar geopolitical approaches, etc. in place as well. All this shows it is senseless to count on anyone in case of any possible new aggression. The guarantee of our success is conditioned by the power of our army and the unity of all Armenians today and always,” explained David Babayan.
