“It is too late for dialogues, the train has already left. But this does not mean we are not ready for discussions. We, of course, are ready to discuss Serzh Sargsyan’s removal, resignation time and certain conditions. I am ready to say that we do not want revenge. If Serzh Sargsyan opens his eyes and resigns as soon as possible, it will only benefit him and the Republic of Armenia”, MP Nikol Pashinyan announced.
He also talked about the future political developments:
- “Serzh Sargsyan resigns from the post of Prime Minister.
- The National Assembly elects Prime Minister candidate proposed by the people.
- A provisional government is formed.
- Under the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, twenty days after the appointment of the Prime Minister the National Assembly should approve the Government’s program.
When a provisional government is formed, according to a political arrangement, the National Assembly does not accept the government’s program, after which extraordinary parliamentary elections are held”.
Nikol Pashinyan assured that they are ready to discuss the points of the mentioned program with the Republican Party in order to ensure the smooth transition of the power to the people: “There is a precondition that the results of early parliamentary elections should not be dubious by anyone. Only people should win the elections now and then”.
After this statement, the demonstrators chanted, “Nikol, Prime Minister”.
