On 20 April, Armenia became the first Observer to join the Energy Community Competition Network. A Joint Declaration on the establishment of the Network was signed by Pavel Ghaltakhchyan, Deputy Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia, and Marie-Therese Richter, Energy Lawyer at the Energy Community Secretariat.
The Network aims to contribute to the coherent and consistent application and enforcement of competition law in the energy sectors. It serves as a platform for promoting close cooperation and discussion, exchange of experience and developing best practices with respect to policy, legislation and enforcement of the competition acquis within the Energy Community.15
