Nikol Pashinyan has been nominated as the PM’s candidate on May 3, at 16:00. The candidacy has been nominated by over the 1/3rd of the overall number of the MPs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
Let us remind you that the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia did not elect a Prime Minister in the special session on May 1. The “Rules of Order of the National Assembly” under the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Armenia envisage that in case of not electing a PM, a new election is held after 7 days in which the candidates nominated by at least 1/3rd of the overall number of the MPs have right to participate.
