On 2 May, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini had a phone call with the President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian.
According to an EU press release, they discussed the latest developments in the country and the President’s efforts to find a solution to the current situation with a view to the democratic formation of a new government, in accordance with the Constitution and in the interest of all Armenians.
The President informed the High Representative of the agreement announced earlier on 2 May regarding the election of the new Prime Minister which, according to the EU, the High Representative welcomed.
