A noteworthy incident has taken place lately during the session of “ The General Assembly”, an alternative for the United Nations, in Berlin. During the session they have addressed to the issue of the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Particularly, Turkish writer, activist Toghrul Semanogly, staying loyal to Turkey’s policy of denial, has insisted that “the correctness of historical events are not due to the decisions of suchlike sessions to be decided.”
In his speech he has mentioned that this is a “fake Genocide” and “a result of an illusion”.
The President of the Organization has responded to this expression of Semanogly, by asking, “Thus, what do you want to say? Do you deny the Genocide? I want a definite answer.”
Semanogly has answered: “Yes, I deny.” After these words the President of the Organization has asked him to leave the session hall.
Semanogly’s expelling from the session hall has not been accepted unanimously. Some participants have insisted that the President’s step contradicts to the democratic principles.
