Over the past seven days, the tension escalated in the contact line between the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces last week was maintained.
Particularly, from April 30, there have been accumulations and shifts of the opponent’s live force and military equipment in different parts of Line of Contact between the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. In order to assess the operational situation in the frontline OSCE monitoring was held on May 3, which was carried out without violations and according to the approved timetable.
Overall during the period of April 29-May 5, the opponent violated the ceasefire regime over 200 times in the contact line between the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces, firing about 3000 shots towards the Armenian positions. Defensive units of the Defense Army continue to hold control over the frontline and confidently carry out their military duty.
