As a response to Levon Ter-Petrossian’s announcements, the Republican Party of Armenia informs that in an exception with the non-partisan MP elected through Tavush province constituency list, Grigor Avalyan, no MP from RPA has announced on renouncing his/her mandate.
Grigor Avalyan, using his liabilities and rights under Constitution and Rules of Order of the Parliament under Constitutional Law, willingly, without any compulsion or imposition has made a decision to renounce the mandate.
As regards other MPs from the RPA, they have not renounced their mandates and are not going to. Pursuant to their Constitutional rights, they are free and independent to work as MPs, vote and make decisions in concert with their opinions, conscious and beliefs.
