Nikol Pashinyan urged the citizens in the Republic Square to gather at the Republic Square since 11 a.m. on May 8. He announced that the deadline for the second phase of nominating a candidate for acting PM has expired and a sole candidate has been nominated – Nikol Pashinyan.
“I want to say, I have officially received a confirmation that Armenian Revolutionary Federation, “Yelq” bloc, “Tsarukyan” alliance, and a row of MPs from the Republican Party of Armenia shall vote in favor of the people’s candidate. That is, we have got 95% likelihood that the candidate nominated by yourselves will become the PM of the Republic of Armenia,” said Pashinyan.
He added that a lot of people ask him if they are planning strikes for tomorrow: “No, dear people, we are not going to strike tomorrow. I simply announce a day off on May 8.”
