Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Acting Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan and First Deputy Chief of General Staff of RA Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan yesterday.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed that in assuming the Prime Minister’s duties, he deemed that one of his primary tasks was to get comprehensive information on the country’s foreign security situation. The newly elected Prime Minister noted that he would take prompt action if there were any issues calling for the Premier’s immediate intervention.
Vigen Sargsyan advised that the Armed Forces were fulfilling their functions adequately. The situation was under their full control in the frontline in a bid to ensure the country’s defense capacity and keep the borders intact. Reference was made to a number of issues related to defense and security, including the program of army modernization.
