The Government intends to found a “Military Technology Research Institute” state non-profit organization to provide the military forces with modern armaments and military technology and to create premises for exporting some types of armaments of Armenian production to the external market.
On the latter the acting Minister of Defense, Vigen Sargsyan will represent a bill during the government session on May 11. The session will be headed by newly elected PM, Nikol Pashinyan.
The “Military Technology Research Institute” state non-profit organization will be granted with a right to entrepreneurial activity and will be permitted to implement technological experiments and analyses, research and experimental processings in the fields of technology and natural sciences, as well as other vocational, scientific and technological activities within the framework of this right.
Vigen Sargsyan will inform Nikol Pashinyan that the necessity of the bill stems from the “State Program of the Republic of Armenia on developing military Industrial complex and list of the events to be implemented from 2018 to 2020”, of the President of the Republic of Armenia from December 30, 2017.
