The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev responded to the statements on the Karabakh Conflict regulations made by Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia.
According to the agency “Trend”, the representative of the Azerbaijani ministry, in particular, said: “Azerbaijan hopes that the new government of Armenia will not repeat the mistakes of the predecessors, and will pursue a healthy diplomatic policy”. Hajiyev also said that he was sorry, that “Nikol Pashinyan makes controversial statements on the process of negotiation”.
Let us remind that on May 9, the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in Artsakh that he would put every effort to make Artsakh return to the table of negotiations. Speaking about the peaceful solution of the issue, he mentioned that the Armenian side had always supported the peaceful solution, while Azerbaijan continually used bellicose rhetoric. Pashinyan also stressed, that as long as Azerbaijan used bellicose rhetoric, we could not even speak about any compromises. According to the Armenian Prime Minister, there must be a clear message from Azerbaijan, that Baku recognizes the self-determination right of the nation of Artsakh
