The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Balayan has responded on his Twitter page to the announcement of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev constituting: “Azerbaijani flag will wave on Khaqendi (Stepanakert)”.
“It is symbolic that the announcement was made during an event dedicated to a person, who was thinking the same way and bore a full fiasco. The same fate is waiting for his son. The father had wisdom enough to stop and ask for a reconciliation. Azerbaijan’s people can cherish hopes that the wisdom is being inherited,” writes Balayan.
Yesterday, during the event dedicated to Heydar Aliyev’s 95th anniversary, responding to the PM of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan’s announcement made in Stepanakert, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev said that “the Azerbaijani flag will wave on all occupied territories, Shushi and Khaqendi encompassed”.
