The meeting of pro-Kurdish “Democratic People’s Party” (HDP) has taken place at “Hilton” hotel in Ankara, during which the pre-election program of the party has been published. It will come to life if the HDP wins the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Turkey on June 24.
The author of the aforementioned program is Selahattin Demirtas, who is the presidential candidate nominated by the HDP. He is currently in prison.
The program envisages taking steps and changes in both domestic and external policies.
The part of the external policy touches upon the perspective of Armenian-Turkish relations. “The embargo against Armenia will be demolished, the needed steps will be undertaken in the field of economy, political and diplomatic relations will be developed. We will open the closed Armenian-Turkish border without preconditions. We will support the efforts towards the peaceful solution of Karabakh Conflict,” says the program.
