The judge Mesrop Makyan announced a few minutes ago about his decision on mediation to change the preventative detention means: arrest, that is to release the members of the group “Sasna Tsrer” accused of seizing the Police Patrol Regiment in 2016 and committing other severe crimes, namely: Pavel Manukyan, Varuzhan Avetisyan, Mkhitar Avetisyan, Arayik Khandoyan, Gagik Yeghiazaryan (in the photo), Armen Bilyan, Areg Kyureghyan, Smbat Barseghyan, Sedrak Nazaryan, and Edvard Grigoryan, which is rejected.
And it means that the mentioned prisoners will continue to remain under detention. Their advocates had represented such mediation, taking into account the new political situation. The accusing prosecutors had appealed against the mediation, saying – taking into consideration the deeds alluding to the prisoners of public danger, they preserve the grounds of detention.
Let us remind you, that suchlike mediation was submitted a few days ago for other 11 “Sasna Tsrer” members, but the judge Arshak Vardanyan also rejected it.
