Is there any discussion on the trial of the “Sasna Tsrer”, and what ways are being discussed to legally resolve the problem? After the government’s session, journalists inquired the new Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan about this. He assured: “I have ordered to find legitimate ways and methods to solve the problem”.
Whether what measures are being discussed, Zeynalyan responded: “All possible legitimate ways of taking into account the judiciary’s absolute principle of independence”.
In response to the remark that the advocates of “Sasna Tsrer” state that the judiciary and the prosecutor’s office are not independent, the Minister said: “I am not familiar with the advocates’ viewpoint, if there is such a point of view, it should be submitted to the court, which will be referred to in the stage of trial”.
Supporters of “Sasna Tsrer” are protesting these days and demand release of those who are involved in this case. Aravot.am asked Zeynalyan about his opinion on the supporters’ demand, who claim that “Sasna Tsrer” had the right to revolt.
The Minister responded: “The problem should be solved by the court. In general, those who use their right to revolt, consider all possible outcomes when entering into that process”.
