Deputies of the pro-Kurdish “Democratic People’s Party” in Turkey visited the Armenian village of Vakifli in the framework of the election campaign. The villagers welcomed the MPs who visited Vakifli, the last Armenian village in Turkey.
MP Leila Birlick said that the village is a vivid example of the ability of different nations to coexist side by side.
One of the villagers, Jem Chapar, noted that Vakifli is one of those villages that knows the value of democracy, and added that they link the possibility of establishing democracy in Turkey with the “Democratic People’s Party”.
