“It is understandable that the adversary has moved the military technology during the days of the public movement. Azerbaijan was waiting for a collapse – the collapse of our country’s administrative system,” announced political scientist, director of “Caucasus Institute”, Aleksandr Iskandaryan, during the discussion on the latest development of events in Armenia.
As stated by him, presently all centers of power of the international community make pressure on Azerbaijan for the latter not to evoke emergency situations: “However, it cannot proceed forever, risks are in place.”
Referring to the appointment of the members of the newly elected PM’s political team in the ministerial positions, the political scientist noticed that specialists were appointed in relatively key positions, for example the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, the Ministry of Defence, which one cannot say about other positions: “It is another question – to what extent Pashinyan’s team understands the depth of the competence of the team members. There is no consciousness of being a specialist. They have an issue of choice. It is mainly not evident what changes are going to take place in the near future and how they are going to be implemented.”
Addressing “My Step” movement, Aleksandr Iskandaryan highlighted: “Suchlike revolutions do not take place in the countries having a reputation of a dictatorship. In the case of Armenia, when the mothers close the streets with baby strollers, there is a confidence that no tanks will drive on hitting the strollers. In the case of other countries there is no such conviction in place.”
