Extraordinary parliamentary elections are one of the priorities of the incumbent government and the Prime Minister, informed PM Nikol Pashinyan during the interview after the inauguration of the PM and the members of the Government of the Republic of Armenia at the Presidential Residence. He assured – the extraordinary elections are a priority, but it does not mean it is the only issue: “The Government should function by the natural stream. The Government has and is going to have long-term plans. Eventually, this Government is going to manifest itself in the extraordinary elections as well. The format is another issue.”
Pashinyan referred to the disclosures of corruption cases promised by the director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, saying that the NSS and all other bodies should carry out their functions: “Everything is said by this. The NSS director has made announcements. Whenever concrete actions are taken, the public will be informed. I hope you do not expect me to disclose operative information.”
Asked if there were persons hiding taxes, or, so to say, are privileged, do not pay the bills of gas and electricity spent, if they would be disclosed, Pashinyan replied: “Even if my family members are disclosed to have done such things, nothing will change.”
