As we have already informed, at the National Assembly Republican MP Armen Ashotyan said in his speech that Nikol Pashinyan’s government violated several articles of the Constitution these days.
He also touched upon the discussions on the nation-army concept of former Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan, saying that this concept is not a monopoly of any political force.
Let us remind that Pashinyan advised Vigen Sargsyan to refrain from making staged statements. According to Ashotyan: “The concept solves the problem of mobilizing public resources in case of external aggression. I think it is needless to say that this aggression is more than realistic. It is obvious that democracy and anti-corruption fight are factors that enhance the strategic depth of the country, but only those factors are not enough for the security system”.
Ashotyan brought an example of Georgia: “During the reign of Mikhail Saakashvili, Georgia implemented anti-corruption reforms, however, was defeated in the August 2008 war. This, I think, is a good reminder for all those who believe that there are panaceas, and who are trying to replace the valuable concept we have presented and which does not have a political owner, the owner are the people”.
