Republican MP Samvel Farmanyan reminded that on April 30 and May 1, the Republican Party members asked a lot of questions to Nikol Pashinyan before becoming Prime Minister. According to him, they did so to let him correct the old and controversial judgments on key issues for our country, otherwise those could have irreversible effects not only for his government, but also for our statehood and country’s future.
He said that a large number of political noise-makers rushed to blame those who addressed those questions: “Such remarks could only make persons with critical mindset only laugh, nothing else. Although these days even silliness creates an illusion of heroism”.
According to Farmanyan, it is good that Pashinyan corrected his previous judgments, but changed thoughts and stances need to be strengthened with firm steps and thoughtful decisions, otherwise even amended viewpoint will not inspire confidence: “There are no trifles in politics: the smallest step is also a step with its symbolic meaning. Personnel appointments are also steps that are also symbolically and figuratively perceived in politics. Steps should be made to strengthen the amended words, its alternative is a deception, which, in the case of state policy, is nothing but a catastrophic illusion”.
