“I believe, passing parliamentary elections should be a general subject of discussion of the political forces. When the subject reaches the peak, we will sit around a table to make a decision,” said the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Ara Babloyan.
As regards the likely amendment to the Election Code, he mentioned that the political forces had different positions on that issue: “If the political forces come to a consensus that certain amendments should be made, then those will be made.”
Referring to the statement of some political forces, that the ranking electoral system should be abolished, which the Republican Party of Armenia is against nevertheless, Ara Babloyan noticed: “RPA has always been for the negotiations and now it announces it will support all positive changes.”
