“Currently the important aim of ours is to include Artsakh in the negotiations again. It can take place exclusively within the framework of the Co-Chairing format of the OSCE Minsk Group,” said the newly appointed Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, referring to the announcement made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on returning Artsakh at the negotiation table, hinting that a meeting is planned with the Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group in June.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan also touched upon the possible meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov: “It is not a matter of an opportunity, but of negotiation format.”
As far as Pashinyan-Aliyev likely meeting is concerned, the Minister of the Foreign Affairs informed that at the moment there was no such issue in place.
Mnatsakanyan also commented on President Donald Trump of the USA’s announcement that new opportunities would be created for Artsakh Conflict resolution: “We all hope that the resolution will happen very soon, but it should reflect our interests, goals and aspirations. We speak of a compromise, but our interests, the right of Artsakh people to self-determination and the security should be on its ground.”
The Minister added that they intended to keep the mobility of the negotiations.
