During the days of the Velvet Revolution and onwards, the national and state symbols are of a great demand. If previously our flag could be seen only on the rooftops of the buildings of state institutions, as well as the local self-government bodies, now the flag of the Republic of Armenia is respected and honored even by the cafes which put them in their territory.
Vernissage traders witness that the goods comprising the national symbols had never had this much of demand. As stated by them, the goods with the mentioned symbols are consumed the most these days: among them, the fastest are consumed the flag of Armenia, the hats or caps, and shirts with military emblem and other national symbols.
Generally, the treatment of the citizens towards the national and state symbols can be regarded as one of the indicators of how much those citizens regard themselves to be the citizens of that country and believe in its future.
