“Vano Siradeghyan continues being under prosecution,” informed the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, in response to the request of “168 Zham” (168 Hours).
“Vano Smbat Siradeghyan is considered under prosecution under the decision of April 3, 2000, on the criminal case investigated by the Court of General Jurisdiction of Malatia-Sebastia district. Detention was selected as a preventative means for him,” constitutes the response of the Prosecutor’s Office.
To the question implying what legal procedures are envisaged in case of V. Siradeghyan’s appearance to the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia, and whether the limitation period is not applicable, the Prosecutor’s Office has responded: “Under Part 5 of Article 75 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia, the question of the limitation period application in case of the convicted person sentenced for life, is solved by the court.”
