The investigation of the appeal on Sefilian and others’ case was envisaged today in the Criminal Court of Appeal in the morning, whereby the defendants require abolishing the decision of the First Instance Court, that is – imprisonment and self-justification.
The hearing hall was quite crowded, and a part of the citizens was left outside, inasmuch as there was no place to sit. As soon as the hearing started, the three judges of the Criminal Court of Appeal announced that under the written letter of the Head of Yerevan City Administration, it was not possible to bring the defendants to the court.
The citizens complained and shouted, not allowing the judges to read the letter until the end and reveal the reasons for not bringing the defendants to the court.
The judges made a decision to delay the hearing, inasmuch as they were not able to finish their speeches because of the noise the citizens made. The citizens, as a sign of complaint, continue staying in the building of the court and demand from the Police, namely Valeri Osipyan, to bring Sefilian and others.
Jirair Sefilian’s brother, Toros Sefilian announced that the actions of protest will continue.
