Judge Artush Gabrielyan satisfied the petition on changing the detention as a preventive measure against Khachatur Gichyan, defendant on the case of “Sasna Tsrer”. Accordingly, 71-year-old Gichyan will be released and signature on non-leave will be a preventive measure applied against him.
The basis for satisfying the petition was the forensic-medical examination report read in the court, according to which Gichyan has more than a dozen diseases.
Let us remind that he is the owner of the truck, through which members of the “Sasna Tsrer” group had seized the police patrol regiment, and is accused of assisting the armed group. According to him, he did not know what purpose his truck was going to be used for.
Let us remind that Garo Yeghnukian is the first defendant released from custody on the “Sasna Tsrer” case.
