“The issue is not solely “Alex Holding”: the tax and customs field should be brought to order. If until this people were acting under other rules of the game, now they will not act under them any longer,” addressing to the violations of “Alex Holding”, belonging to the Member of Parliament from the Republican Party of Armenia, Samvel Aleksanyan, disclosed by the National Security Service of Armenia, said MP from “Yelq” bloc, Edmon Marukyan.
“New rules of the game are in place – all should pay the taxes compulsorily,” highlighted Marukyan. He does not agree with the opinions that what has taken place comprises elements of political persecution towards Samvel Aleksanyan: “We only speak of paying taxes.”
Referring to the opportunities of coming to agreement with the Republican Party of Armenia over the planned parliamentary elections in the autumn, Marukyan mentioned – no agreement is in place at the moment: “A group of making amendments to the Electoral Code should be formed, after which we can speak about the elections for certain.”
