Today, during the interview, Davit Tonoyan, the Minister of Defence, answered the question on how to explain the advance of Azerbaijani armed forces on Nakhijevan border, saying that there is no need to worry and that movement has taken place on Azerbaijani side.
Asked if there is no need to include the CSTO in this issue, the Minister of Defence replied there was none.
In response to the question why the former authorities – the Republicans, express serious concerns connected with the advance of armed forces then, in particular, Armen Ashotyan had published on his Facebook page requiring an explanation, Davit Tonoyan said that he was not aware of those publications and no concerns should be expressed.
To the question, if there are citizens avoided of the army who have responded to Nikol Pashinyan’s call and come to serve, the Minister gave a positive answer but said he could not give a certain number.
Asked how many young boys have avoided the army service over the past 10-15 years and if the Ministry of Defence had the list, Davit Tonoyan replied that he could not give the numbers at the moment, but there are thousands of cases of avoidance.
