On June 1, International Children’s Day, Armenian President Armen Sargsyan and his wife Nune Sargsyan visited “Orran” founded by Armine and Raffi Hovannisians. Children of “Orran” put star stickers, the symbols of the holiday, onto the faces of the President and his wife, and also helped them put on aprons of “Orran”.
Armen Sargsyan expressed regret that this was the first time he visited “Orran”, which plays an important role in supporting vulnerable children and lonely elderly people. The President made hamburgers for “Orran” children, as well as for the children of the representatives of national minorities, who were hosted in “Orran”. The President noted that he had never cooked anything, and the only culinary experience he had was making an omelet. He also said that children’s day should be celebrated not only on June 1, 2 or December 31 but for 365 days.
