June 04,2018 20:40

The students of the Faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University had a meeting with the lady of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the editor-in-chief of “Haykakan Zhamanak” (Armenian Times) daily, Anna Hakobyan today.

One of the students asked what influence the famous users on “Facebook” had on the work of the specialized media during the days of “My Step” movement according to her estimation. The question implied if they did not disturb the journalists.

Anna Hakobyan said that they not only did not disturb but also contributed to the work of the journalists with their publications and video records. The lady of the PM mentioned that she did not mean the misinformation, of course. “In the era of social networks, everyone can “label” any given official. Assuredly it is an ugly deed deserving criticism,” noted Anna Hakobyan.

Afterwards one of the students asked what route should the country take after the political situation – the route of the law or..? Anna Hakobyan answered: “After the revolution, everything should be lawful. If some people do not realize that yet, I think the reason is the transition phase. I believe everything will fall on its place soon.”
