Protests in Stepanakert ceased: protesters decide to take Nikol Pashinyan’s call

The State Minister of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan had a meeting with the organizers of the protest yesterday. After the meeting Arayik Harutyunyan announced, first and foremost thanking the protesters for raising the issues existing in Artsakh. “You have opened a new page in the history of Artsakh. For the first time in Artsakh, a movement pointed at the state building has commenced which was initiated by the people, having a clear-cut agenda,” he said.

Arayik Harutyunyan mentioned that the President had promised to discuss all issues in a very short term and make structural changes and replacements in the personnel: “He asks for a very short time and assures that all issues are going to be solved and you will be satisfied with everything,” said the State Minister.  

The organizer of the protest, Davit Simonyan informed the protesters that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan had made an announcement on the situation, calling upon to stop the protests, inasmuch as Bako Sahakyan is ready to fulfill their requirements. After that he applied to the protesters, asking: “We trust Nikol Pashinyan?” The protesters gave a positive response.

The protesters then left Azatamartikneri Street and the traffic was restored.
