In concert with the decision of judges Mkhiitar Papoyan, Manushak Petrosyan and Ruzanna Barseghyan of the Criminal Court of Appeal of the Republic of Armenia, the announcement of the decision relative to the arbitration on changing the preventative detention with release of the member of “New Armenia” opposition movement, political activist Gevorg Safaryan was delayed.
The Court explained the delay with the fact that the investigation of the appeal is still in process and the Court will refer to the preventative detention only in the end of the investigation.
Let us remind you that Safaryan is one of the accused on Jirair Sefiliean’s case who was recognized guilty for preparing mass disorders in 2015.
