“When a power change takes place, they leave the former ruling party and join the new ruling party”, Republican MP Galust Sahakyan told during an interview with journalists at the parliament. Journalists asked him about the businessmen who had left the Republican Party.
In response to the question whether in his opinion how many votes the Republican Party will collect in the extraordinary elections, Galust Sahakyan said: “Ask the people”. Then he added: “If this government succeeds in implementing whatever it has promised to the people, then I do not mind Republicans receiving few votes”. He also urged not to be concerned about election results yet.
Touching upon the government’s plan, he said: “Nikol Pashinyan made a good speech, but no government possesses a magic wand to turn the people’s life into a heaven”.
