“We are going to criticize, but not to speak in vain, we are not going to self-sustain by criticizing. We are going to criticize as we did today – certainly and factually. We will not stand and say, for example, the young man does not have right to become a minister,” said the Speaker of the Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov, assuring that the RPA will come forth with a healthy criticism towards the work of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Government during the interview after the session of the Supreme Body of the Republican Party.
Sharmazanov mentioned that they would speak up about the positive results as well: “We are not going to be a declinatory opposition. We are a political opposition, which will ground its criticism by facts. We have held the authority for years and we know very well what it means to be a deconstructive and declinatory opposition, what it means to play on people’s feelings and voice assessments the people would be pleased to hear. Wherever we see the good, we will encourage, and in the opposite case, if it is needed, we will make effective suggestions.”
Eduard Sharmazanov assured that the RPA is interested in the success of Pashinyan’s Government: “We are not the country’s enemies, are we..? We are political competitors and not adversaries. We are in the same boat, simply the captain has changed. But for the ship not to hit the iceberg, it is out of the interests of all of us for the captain to take up the right direction.”
