During Putin-Pashinyan meeting taken place on June 13 the issue of military-technological cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation was discussed, informed Arsen Kharatyan, the advisor to the Prime Minister of Armenia, who visited Moscow within Armenian delegation membership.
“They referred only to the technical issues of receiving the loans from the Russian Federation for meeting military equipment expenditures,” he informed.
As stated by Arsen Kharatyan, no conversation about Russia’s arms supply to Azerbaijan evolved: “I think the Prime Minister will refer to the issue of arms supply in the near future as well, simply the time-limit of our present visit was short.”
Kharatyan reminded that the Prime Minister of Armenia had met with Aliyev after the football match and shaken hands with him: “No other conversation was started. The Presidents and the PMs who had come to attend the opening of World Cup were invited to Kremlin by Putin during which the handshake took place. That opportunity was used to introduce the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to each other.”
Arsen Kharatyan added that no conversation on the format of Artsakh Conflict negotiations took place either, but assuredly meetings in connection with that issue will take place in the near future. “Questions on the agenda are standing in a queue, we should work actively,” summed up the advisor to the PM.
