Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan, representing the deeds attributed to Manvel Grigoryan and the results of the searches of his house and summer house, unveiled new information today in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The Prosecutor said that 2067 cans of condensed milk, 160 canned meats, 22 canned vegetables, salad oil, macaroni, tea, hygiene items, medicine, backpacks with military patterns and 3 boxes of underwear bought due to the money collected by the teachers and assistants of schools N. 50, 197, 164, school of Choratan village of Tavush Region, Verin Tsakhkavan village, Akhuryan, school N. 4 of Ejmiatsin in the days of April War were found in the office of the summer house. He read out the letter of the 3rd class pupil from school N. 164, where she said: “Dear soldier, the 2-year torture of yours provides the peaceful life of our people…”
The investigation revealed that the Ministry of Defence had provided the Union of “Yerkrapah” Volunteers with the necessary food and military items in order to meet the needs of the volunteers and also for statutory purposes. It was substantiated that Grigoryan had stolen the property provided to the structure led by him and transferred to the personal territory, used the food to feed his animals. Besides, a criminal case was initiated on keeping illegal arms and ammunition in the territory belonging to “Ara and Aytsemnik” OJSC. The director of the mentioned corporation is Manvel Grigoryan’s son. Goods intended for the soldiers were found in the territory of that corporation as well.
Prosecutor General said that Manvel Grigoryan had kept illegal military equipment – bullets, grenades, explosives, black powder-charged rifles, grenade launchers and etc. in secret in the summer house in Arshaluys village belonging to him upon initial agreement with Ejmiatsin residents Seyran Ghazaryan, Armen Hakobyan, his wife Nazik Amiryan and daughter Aytsemnik Grigoryan. They had undertaken active steps of hiding the ammunition, taking them from house to house.
