Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received newly appointed Japanese ambassador to Armenia Jun Yamada.
Highlighting the need for boosting and deepening the Armenian-Japanese relations, the Prime Minister noted that there is great development potential in this field. Nikol Pashinyan thanked the Japanese Government for donating 200 new Japanese vehicles to Armenia and expressed the hope that the two countries’ executive bodies might help attract Japanese capital into Armenia by means of close interaction.
The Japanese ambassador assured of his readiness to promote the development of bilateral cooperation, including through new investment projects. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in industry, information technology, tourism and other spheres. In that context, they highlighted the organization of reciprocated high-level visits.
Nikol Pashinyan thanked the Japanese side for their balanced position on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, adding that it promotes peace and stability in the region.
