The news agency which according to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan carries out an anti-state propaganda, will not do it any longer, informed the Spokesman of the Prime Minister, Arman Yeghoyan to Aravot.am. Yesterday Pashinyan published on his Facebook page: “In fact, some TV channels, using the unrestricted right to freedom of speech have decided to carry out anti-state propaganda. This is perhaps one of the cases when the politeness of the authority is confused with weakness or naiveness. Do not do that! Simply, do not!”
Aravot.am addressed some questions to the Spokesman of the Prime Minister. Yeghoyan rejected to answer to the question which TV channel carried out anti-state propaganda and how it was expressed, stating he had nothing to add to what the PM had said: “I can say that the PM’s publication did not refer to the criticism of the authorities and will not ever refer to it. The PM will never rebuke any media agency for criticising him.”
The spokesman also rejected to define the term “anti-state propaganda”. He also did not give a clear answer to which TV channels the spoken referred, because people were circulating the names of “Yerkir Media” and “Kentron” TV channels. “Neither of them,” he said.
To the question, if the PM’s post should be taken as a threat to the presupposed TV channel, Mr. Yeghoyan gave a negative reply: “The Prime Minister has expressed his opinion. Neither an implication nor a threat is in place.”
