The scandalous disclosures connected with Manvel Grigoryan have shocked the whole Armenian nation worldwide. Aravot.am interviewed the spiritual pastor of Haifa and North Israel, Father Tirayr Hovakimyan.
He said: “I am shocked by the disclosures the National Security Service made. I am sad mostly because the letters of the school children did not reach the soldiers. They had been deceived for two years. I come from Ejmiatsin as well. I left my dear city at 14, but I maintain close ties with it. Every year I visit Armenia in our home in Ejmiatsin with my family. However, I have always seen no smile in the eyes of Ejmiatsin people, they are not happy. I always follow the developments in Armenia from Israel. In the days of Velvet Revolution, when Nikol Pashinyan was not a PM yet, I came to Yerevan to meet him. I wanted to kiss the man’s forehead who intended to free Armenia from stagnation. I met him, we walked together and I made my wish come true. Today I was watching the special session of the National Assembly. I am satisfied with the decisions of the MPs. Ejmiatsin is freed from dictatorship.”
