Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Natalia Vutova, Head of Council of Europe’s Armenia Mission.
Appreciative of the ongoing effective cooperation between Armenia and the Council of Europe, the Prime Minister hailed the CoE’s support of the reform process, which seeks to develop democracy, strengthen the fight against corruption, promote human rights and so on. The Prime Minister noted that Armenia will be an active member of the Council of Europe and will participate in the organization’s all undertakings.
Natalya Vutova emphasized that the Council of Europe is prepared to support the most important reforms in our country, both in the spheres mentioned by the Prime Minister and in the judicial and legal systems. She welcomed the Government’s initiative to combat corruption and expressed confidence that it would be effective.
During the meeting, reference was made to the need for holding snap parliamentary elections and amending the Electoral Code in the context of bilateral cooperation.
