“There is progress in releasing political prisoners, but I do not see any progress in “catching the corrupt big fishes”, said, “Sasna Tsrer” case defendant, a member of the “Founding Parliament” oppositional movement, Diasporan lawyer, Garo Yegnukian, who has recently been released from custody.
“Manvel Grigoryan is not a big fish for me”, referring to the arrest of General Manvel Grigoryan, said Yegnukian and added, “The same refers to Vachagan Ghazaryan. As an example, I can say that some people have circulated money in offshore zones”.
Then Garo Yegnukian stated: “Give me a chance to act freely and I can cease corruption in Armenia in six months”.
According to Yegnukian, after the upcoming parliamentary elections, he does not see himself as a candidate or an official in the executive body but would like to be given the aforementioned opportunity.
