“If negotiations do not take place, the danger of war increases. Armenian side should integrate a more cautious position and say that everything should be done to make Artsakh a negotiation party, but it will not leave negotiation table and continue negotiating by insisting on the participation of Artsakh in negotiations at some point ,” said political scientist Yervand Bozoyan, referring to Armenian PM’s latest announcement that Artsakh should become a negotiation party.
According to him, if Armenian side makes sharper announcements in the mentioned issue, Azerbaijan might go for the restart of military operations.
“Azerbaijani authorities wait for Armenia now, they do not understand the position of the new authorities of the Republic of Armenia. Azerbaijan is warned by the West, inasmuch as the West has welcomed the public movement taken place in Armenia. But I do not accept the opinion implying that Azerbaijan will be afraid of starting military actions. If it feels it will have big success in a short term, it will do that.”
As stated by Yervand Bozoyan, it is time for the new authorities of the Republic of Armenia to make their strategy and moves in Artsakh Conflict clear.
