There are rumors in the Turkish political circles about the possibility that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan may offer a position to the world famous Armenian economist Daron Acemoglu in the new government.
Turkish “Haberturk” newspaper article writer Nagehan Alci wrote about this: “Acemoglu, one of the world’s best economists, can play a historical role with a vision that offers a radical solution to the structural problems of the Turkish economy. Erdogan has always been a surprising leader. He may offer Acemoglu to lead the Turkish economy”.
Alci noted that this information was based on a reliable source and added: “The likelihood that this wonderful news may come true gives me a lot of hope”.
Let us note that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had earlier stated that he had a telephone conversation with world-famous economist Daron Acemoglu and that the latter expressed his readiness to support Armenia and accepted his invitation.
“I had a telephone conversation with world-famous Armenian economist Daron Acemoglu. He said he is ready to support Armenia in restoring and developing the economy. Mr. Acemoglu accepted my invitation to visit Armenia”, Pashinyan had written on his Facebook page.
