Edward Grigoryan, a defendant on the “Sasna Tsrer” case, was released from custody by the decision of judge Mesrop Makyan. The decision was based on the guarantee submitted by MPs.
Naira Zohrabyan and Vahe Enfiajyan, members of the “Tsarukyan” faction, arrived at the court earlier and guaranteed that Edward Grigoryan would not hinder the trial and would properly attend the sessions after being released.
Accordingly, Edward Grigoryan was immediately released from the session hall. He embraced other members of the group, as well as Jirair Sefilian, Alec Yenikomshian and Gevorg Safaryan. Edward Grigoryan refused to answer journalists’ questions.
Let us remind that the majority of the members of the “Sasna Tsrer” armed group, who seized the Police regiment in 2016, are in freedom. Edward Grigoryan is accused of taking hostages, illegal possession, storage, and transportation of arms, ammunition, and deliberate destruction of property. The interrogation of the suffered will continue in the upcoming session, in a week.
