In Goris, Nikol Pashinyan announced that the owner of the country is the citizen of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Armenia is the ownership of the citizen of the Republic of Armenia, and that we should feel ourselves as the owners of the country: “The owner of Goris is Goris people. The officials serve to the people. The owner of the Republic of Armenia is the people, the Prime Minister and other officials serve to the people.”
Before that Nikol Pashinyan had called on the citizens to be very confident about the county’s future: “The started changes are going to take place and together with you, the people and the government will reach their goal. We will reach positive results. This Government has no other option, we should reach a success side by side with the people.”
Congratulating on the Day of the Constitution, Nikol Pashinyan records that today, 23 years past the adoption of the Constitution, we have an achievement – the power is in the people’s hands. The citizens also had an opportunity of giving questions to the PM.
The questions encompassed topics from business to family issues.
A man from Goris asked how Nikol Pashinyan succeeded in “turning alpha leopards into cats” in the result of the Velvet Revolution by revolutionizing people’s minds and overall global atmosphere.
“Your question is rhetoric,” answered Nikol Pashinyan, reminding, “I have said that there are no untouchable people in Armenia. If you mean how we succeeded in reaching a point where no untouchable people have remained, let me say, in a very simple way: because the Government has your support, the people’s support. I, as a PM, have no dependence on anyone. My sole dependence is on the people.”
He said his issue was to serve to the people, the people’s issue was to help him to make his service as effective as possible. Nikol Pashinyan also called on Goris residents not to use “Dukhov” (“With Courage”) logo-slogan for commercial purposes. During the meetings, Nikol Pashinyan was wearing a cap with “Dukhov” label.
